Does Brown Motor Works offer internships or similar programs?
Brown Motor Works no longer offers internships. We prefer to place people in paid positions and might help them with any class requirements. The Parts Counter Associate or Porter are our entry level positions.
Every instructor and program that requires internships has specific requirements that do not seem to meet the requirement of any other. This has made setting up an internship program very difficult. If you are interested in an internship or senior project type assignment, send Chris Quirk an email at chris@brownbmw.com with your requirements and a proposal. You will design your senior project or internship and then we will work with you to accomplish your goals.

All Brown Motor Works employees work very hard at their positions and frequently hold several titles with different responsibilities. No one has an easy job. The Sales staff of Brown Motor Works are trained and devoted motorcycle Salespeople with years of experience selling motorcycles. We prefer previous experience in motorcycles sales. If you are interested in working in a motorcycle shop and have not done so previously, think about the Parts Counter Associate position. As a Parts Counter Associate, you get to assist people with their motorcycle parts, accessories and riding gear needs. Please note that employees are only ever considered for other positions if they perform their current positions in a perfect manner for at least 1 year.

Only resumes are accepted for any position. Voice mail messages should be professional. Candidates are instantly rejected if their voice mail's contain information that leads me to believe that they might not be eligible for employment. Your email address should also show a level of professionalism. Here are examples of email addresses that will instantly cause a resume to be rejected. captsavea(profanity)@hotmail.com (profanity)sucker@aol.com
When presenting yourself for an interview, be and look professional. If you come to Brown Motor Works looking and acting like you are applying for a job at IBM or a jewelry store, then your chances are improving. Rock stars should apply to the music industry in Hollywood and Hard Core Bikers might be more interested in positions elsewhere. We love the enthusiasms of motorcycle lovers but we need them to look like professional trades people and sales staff, not bikers.
