The 2024 BMW K 1600 B is the most economical and relatively smaller of the 1600cc full-sized tourers. It features a liquid-cooled, straight-six 1649 cc engine diagonally across the motorcycle’s chassis. This engine is the narrowest In-line six-cylinder motorcycle, the first ever from BMW Motorrad, with a 22-inch width.
BMW Motorrad engineered the BMW K 1600 B with optional packages, including Tour Package (engine protection bar, audio system 2.0, floorboards, auxiliary LED headlamps, audio system 2.0 with satellite radio and sound profiles) and Comfort Packages (including central locking, keyless ignition, anti-theft alarm and shift assist pro). A low-tinted windscreen, forged handlebars, ground-level lighting, and a center stand are other optional equipment for the K 1600 B.
The BMW K 1600 GT is a premium alternative to the K 1600 B. BMW Motorrad equips the 2024 K 1600 GT with the proper persona of a two-wheel grand tourer with large body panels, mammoth dimensions, and touring-specific luggage carrier. Like the K 1600 B, the K 1600 GT has the iconic liquid-cooled inline-six 164cc engine that delivers 160 hp and 132.7 lb-ft of torque.
Although the BMW K 1600 GT might look a lot like the K 1600 B from afar, they have certain features in comparison. The K 1600 GT features redesigned side panels, different split seats and side panniers, larger front windshield and rearview mirrors, and upswept exhaust pipes.
The 2024 K 1600 GTL is the perfect choice for BMW motorcycle enthusiasts seeking extravagance in touring. It is the kitted and more premium variant of the K 1600 GT, offering more styling tweaks and premium features. The liquid-cooled, straight-six 1649 cc engine available on the other K 1600 models powers the full-spec K 1600 GTL. However, the 2024 K 1600 GTL combines both standard and optional features of the other two K 1600 Models. These include keyless rides, e-calls, satellite radio, and sound profiles.
